An old version of Quicktime will not uninstall on my laptop

Recently I constantly received an automatic update message for Quicktime. It showed 2 versions and would not install either of them despite repeated trying. Eventually, V 7.79.80.95 installed but there is an old version I would like to uninstall but get the following message: 'The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable'.

Any ideas on what's going on or what to do?
